Roy M. Childs, 28, of Red Rock, Oklahoma, Passes Away in Tragic Accident

Roy M. Childs, a 28-year-old resident of Red Rock, Oklahoma, tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle accident on Saturday, May 31, 2025. The incident occurred around 3:45 a.m. on State Highway 15, approximately one mile east of Red Rock. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a concrete bridge railing. Mr. Childs was transported to Integris Health Ponca City Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries .

Roy was a cherished member of the Red Rock community, known for his warm personality and dedication to those around him. He is survived by his wife, Jolavon Childs, and their children. He was the brother of Mary Louise Meeks of Shawnee and the son of Bernice Bull of Weatherford

Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced by the family at a later date. The community mourns the loss of a young life taken too soon and extends heartfelt condolences to the Childs family during this difficult time.
