With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Annita Marie Baisden, 44, of Dingess, West Virginia, who departed this life peacefully at her residence on June 3, 2025. Born on May 3, 1981, in Logan County, West Virginia, Annita was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend. Her warm spirit, unshakable strength, and deep compassion touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Annita was raised in Chapmanville, West Virginia, a small, close-knit community where family values, faith, and enduring friendships form the fabric of life. She carried the heart of that community with her wherever she went—always ready to lend a hand, share a story, or simply sit with someone in need of comfort. Her life was a reflection of resilience and love, seasoned by her Appalachian roots and guided by a faith that never wavered, even in the face of adversity.

Annita’s greatest pride and joy were her children, for whom she devoted her life with unwavering love and dedication. She was a nurturing mother who believed in the power of kindness, hard work, and honesty. Whether attending school functions, organizing family get-togethers, or quietly offering encouragement, Annita lived each day with a sense of purpose centered on those she loved.

She was known for her infectious laugh, her creative spirit, and her talent for making others feel at home. Annita had a gift for crafting and homemaking—her hands could turn the simplest materials into beautiful creations. Her home was often adorned with her own handmade decorations, a testament to her creativity and her love for creating warm, welcoming spaces.

Professionally, Annita worked in various roles that allowed her to care for others, including in the health and service industries. Colleagues admired her dedication and warmth, while clients and patients often commented on how her presence brought a sense of ease and familiarity. She believed in the dignity of all people and treated everyone she encountered with respect and empathy.

Annita’s faith in God was the cornerstone of her life. She was a longtime member of her local church, where she participated in outreach programs, Bible studies, and community events. Her love for gospel music and spiritual fellowship brought her great comfort, especially during difficult times. She often shared her testimony with others, encouraging them to hold fast to hope no matter the storm.

Though her time with us was cut far too short, Annita leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and enduring love. She taught us that life’s most valuable treasures are not material possessions, but the moments we share with the people we love. She had a rare ability to make others feel seen, heard, and loved—and that is how she will be remembered.

Annita Marie Baisden is survived by her cherished family, including her children, parents, siblings, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Her memory will live on in their hearts and in the many lives she touched throughout her journey.

A celebration of Annita’s life will be held in the coming days, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory, share stories, and find comfort in one another. Though we mourn her passing, we find peace in knowing that she is at rest, embraced in the everlasting love of her Creator.

Rest in peace, Annita. Your light will never fade.
