We are devastated by the tragic and heartbreaking loss of Chase Childers, a beloved alumnus of North Cobb Christian School (Class of 2005), whose life left an indelible mark on every soul privileged to know him. Chase’s sudden passing has sent waves of sorrow through the NCCS community, and beyond, as we grieve the loss of a man whose presence radiated light, strength, and compassion.
Chase Childers was more than just an alumnus — he was a pillar of faith, a fierce and loving protector of his family, and a true embodiment of servant leadership. A devoted husband to his high school sweetheart, Nataley Childers (NCCS Class of 2006), their love story was one of deep mutual respect, partnership, and shared purpose. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, family, and service. Their marriage was a beautiful testimony to God’s grace, and their home was filled with laughter, joy, and the boundless energy of their three beautiful children, who were the absolute pride and joy of Chase’s life.
To his children, Chase was not only a father, but a hero. He led with a quiet strength, a patient heart, and a presence that brought calm in any storm. He was the dad who showed up for everything — from bedtime prayers to ball games, and everything in between. He taught them by example what it meant to be honorable, loving, generous, and faithful. His children will grow up with the incredible legacy of their father’s love, courage, and devotion etched into every chapter of their lives.
A standout student-athlete, Chase left a powerful legacy at North Cobb Christian School. He was not only an Eagle on the field, but a leader in spirit and character. His induction into the Eagles Hall of Fame was a testament to both his athletic excellence and the way he inspired those around him. Coaches, teammates, classmates, and teachers remember Chase not only for his talent and determination, but for his humility, integrity, and sportsmanship. He played with passion, led with purpose, and lived with conviction.
But Chase’s impact extended far beyond the fields and halls of NCCS. In every season of his life, he carried himself with an unwavering commitment to serving others. Whether through his career, his church, or his community involvement, Chase was always the first to lend a hand, offer a prayer, or lift someone up. He embodied what it means to have a servant’s heart — putting others before himself, giving without expecting, and showing up when it mattered most.
His faith was the cornerstone of everything he did. In both triumph and hardship, Chase leaned into the Lord with fierce trust. He was a man of prayer, a student of the Word, and a light to all who witnessed his walk with Christ. His life was a living testimony to the power of faith — not just in words, but in action. He inspired those around him to draw closer to God, to love more deeply, and to live more boldly.
To the Childers family — we love you more than words can express. We are grieving with you, crying with you, and lifting you up daily to the Lord. Our hearts are shattered alongside yours, but we know that heaven is celebrating the homecoming of a faithful son. Though the pain here is unbearable, we take comfort in the promise that Chase now rests in eternal peace and glory. He fought the good fight, he finished the race, and he kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7).
In the days, weeks, and months ahead, may the love of this community wrap around you like a blanket. May the Lord pour out peace that passes understanding, and may the legacy of Chase’s beautiful life continue to shine through all of us. We will never forget him — his laughter, his heart, his heroism, and the powerful way he made the world better simply by being in it.
Fly high, Chase Childers. You were a light in this world, and your legacy will live on forever in our hearts. 🤍
