Breaking Catawba Co- sheriff deputies are on the scene of a mass shooting in the Mountain View community southwest of Hickory. Deputies say one person is dead….they have reports ten others have been shot off of Walnut Acres drive. Highway patrol along with police in Hickory have responded to the scene along with deputies. Investigators say there was a large party at a home prior to the shooting involving 100-people. Deputies say one or more started discharging firearms. So far noone is in custody The road leading to the scene is shutdown. Working to learn more on the extent of the injuries. Watch channel 9 eyewitness news for updates.
