In Loving Memory of Kaelynn Brianna Thomas
With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the untimely passing of Kaelynn Brianna Thomas, known lovingly as “Kae” to her family and friends. Kae passed away on July 15, 2025, at the tender age of 21, leaving behind a legacy of light, laughter, and unforgettable memories that will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
Born on February 26, 2004, in Hagerstown, Maryland, Kae entered this world with a bright spirit and boundless love. From her earliest days, she radiated a joy that was infectious—a quiet strength wrapped in compassion and kindness. Whether it was her warm smile, her listening ear, or the way she made others feel seen and valued, Kaelynn had a rare gift for connecting with people on a deep and personal level.
Kae grew up in Hagerstown, where she was known for her vibrant personality, her sense of humor, and her love of life. A daughter, a sister, a cousin, a friend—she wore each title with pride and purpose. She was a gentle soul with fierce loyalty, someone who never hesitated to stand by the people she cared about, even when life got hard.
Kaelynn attended local schools in Washington County and graduated from high school in 2022. A dedicated student with a curious mind, she had dreams that stretched far and wide. She pursued studies in health and human services, driven by a desire to help others—particularly children and young adults who needed support and guidance. Her dream was to work in social care or counseling, a calling that was a perfect match for her empathetic nature.
Outside of academics and work, Kae loved music, art, journaling, and spending time in nature. She had a natural talent for creativity and used her artistic gifts to express herself in beautiful, honest ways. Whether sketching in a notebook, singing along to her favorite songs, or exploring new places with her camera in hand, she brought color to the world around her. Her laughter—so full and contagious—had the power to brighten even the darkest moments.
Kaelynn also had an unbreakable bond with her family. She was a beloved daughter, a treasured sister, a dependable friend, and a favorite cousin to many. Her kindness, patience, and wisdom—well beyond her years—made her someone her loved ones turned to for advice, comfort, and encouragement. She was the glue in many relationships, the one who always remembered birthdays, checked in on friends, and offered quiet strength in moments of pain.
Her passing has left an unimaginable void in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She is survived by her loving mother and father, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who will continue to carry her memory in everything they do. Each of them was touched in a unique way by Kae’s presence, and they grieve not just for the life she lived, but also for the future that was taken far too soon.
Kaelynn’s life, though short, was filled with purpose and deep meaning. She taught those around her how to love without condition, how to embrace vulnerability, and how to live with intention. In a world that often moves too fast, Kae reminded us to pause, to feel, to listen, and to be kind. Her legacy is not just in the memories she created but in the love she gave so freely.
A celebration of Kaelynn’s life will be held in the coming days in her hometown of Hagerstown. Details will be shared with friends and family as arrangements are finalized. In honor of her spirit, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a local mental health organization or youth support charity—causes that were close to Kae’s heart.
To know Kaelynn Brianna Thomas was to know grace, resilience, and beauty. Though her journey on Earth has ended far too soon, her light continues to shine in all who knew her. May we carry her memory forward in the ways we love, support, and care for one another.
Rest peacefully, Kae. You will always be missed, always be loved, and never be forgotten.
