The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) has deployed two helicopters to assist in the extensive manhunt for 32-year-old Travis Decker, who is wanted for the kidnapping and murder of his three young daughters in Chelan County, Washington. This aerial support is part of a broader, multi-agency operation spanning rugged wilderness areas, including national forests and remote campgrounds.

The SCSO helicopters, equipped with thermal imaging technology, are conducting aerial surveillance over vast and challenging terrains in Chelan County. These efforts are crucial in locating Decker, a former military member with extensive survival training, who is believed to be capable of enduring in the wilderness for extended periods with minimal equipment.

The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is leading the investigation, coordinating with multiple agencies, including the U.S. Marshals Service, Homeland Security, and the U.S. Forest Service. The collaborative efforts aim to leverage all available resources to locate and apprehend Decker.
