In Loving Memory of Charlotte Elaine Armstrong Elliott
April 14, 1976 – July 10, 2025
With hearts full of sorrow and love, we share the passing of Charlotte Elaine Armstrong Elliott, age 49, who left this world peacefully on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at East Georgia Regional Hospital, following a courageous and lengthy battle with breast cancer. Charlotte faced her illness with the same strength, resilience, and grace that defined her life—a life filled with love, compassion, and a fierce devotion to her family and community.
A Celebration of Life honoring Charlotte will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service where loved ones will have the opportunity to share memories, reflect, and find comfort in one another.
Born on April 14, 1976, in Statesboro, Georgia, Charlotte was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a proud graduate of Statesboro High School, class of 1994, and later pursued a degree in education at Georgia Southern University, where she nurtured her passion for helping others learn and grow. Charlotte went on to become a beloved elementary school teacher, shaping countless young lives over the span of two decades. Her classroom was a place of warmth, creativity, and encouragement, where every child felt seen and valued.
Charlotte was a woman of deep faith, steady kindness, and unwavering dedication. She was known for her generous heart, her infectious laughter, and her ability to make even the darkest days brighter with her smile. Beyond the classroom, she was a tireless advocate for breast cancer awareness, organizing local fundraisers, participating in walks and events, and mentoring women who were newly diagnosed with the disease. She turned her pain into purpose, inspiring many with her strength and perseverance.
Above all, Charlotte was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Marcus Elliott, and their two children, Samantha Elliott, age 19, and Ryan Elliott, age 15, who were her greatest pride and joy. She also leaves behind her parents, Gerald and Linda Armstrong of Statesboro; her sister, Melissa Armstrong Ray (David) of Savannah; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, students, and colleagues who were all touched by her warmth and wisdom.
The Elliott family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate doctors, nurses, and care staff at East Georgia Regional Hospital and the oncology team who walked beside Charlotte during every step of her journey. Special thanks also go to the countless friends, neighbors, and members of her church community who offered meals, prayers, support, and love throughout her illness.
In honor of Charlotte’s legacy and her enduring hope for a world without breast cancer, the family kindly asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or a local breast cancer support organization of your choice.
Charlotte’s life was a testament to faith, love, and courage. Though her absence leaves an aching void, her light will forever shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. As we gather to remember her, we do so not in despair but in gratitude—for the time we shared, the lessons she taught us, and the enduring love she left behind.
Rest peacefully, Charlotte. Your journey here is complete, but your spirit lives on eternally.
