With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Ryan K. Gehring, age 30, of Terre Haute, Indiana, who departed this life far too soon on Thursday, July 10, 2025. Born on October 11, 1994, in Terre Haute, Ryan was a son, brother, friend, and beloved member of the community whose presence left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
From an early age, Ryan displayed a vibrant and curious spirit. He had a natural gift for connecting with people—his warm smile, quick wit, and compassionate nature made him someone others gravitated toward. A proud native of Terre Haute, Ryan spent much of his life rooted in the community he loved. He attended Terre Haute North Vigo High School, where he excelled academically and athletically, earning the respect of both teachers and peers.
After graduating, Ryan pursued a career in the skilled trades, earning certifications and gaining hands-on experience that made him a respected and reliable professional. His dedication, strong work ethic, and keen attention to detail earned him the trust of his coworkers and clients alike. Whether it was electrical work, carpentry, or repairs, Ryan approached every task with integrity and care.
Outside of work, Ryan’s passions were many. He had a deep love for music and was an avid guitar player. Whether strumming chords around a bonfire or playing his favorite songs for friends and family, music was Ryan’s form of expression and solace. He also loved the outdoors—fishing, camping, and hiking were among his favorite pastimes. Nature brought him peace, and he often shared his adventures through photos and stories that captured his appreciation for the simple beauty of life.
Ryan’s love for his family was unwavering. He was a devoted son to his parents, a protective and playful sibling to his brothers and sisters, and a constant presence in the lives of his extended family.
