EAST LIVERPOOL – David J. Clark, of Wellsville, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, August 9, 2025, at the East Liverpool City Hospital after a lengthy illness

He was 63 years old. His passing leaves a deep sense of loss among those who knew and loved him, as they remember a man whose life was filled with warmth, humor, and a steadfast devotion to family and friends.

Born in East Liverpool on February 9, 1962, David was the beloved son of Arleen Plate Wise of Wellsville and the late Norman G. Clark. He spent his formative years in the tight-knit East Liverpool community, where he was raised in the Yellow Creek Presbyterian Church. Those early years instilled in him a sense of faith, kindness, and resilience that would carry through his life. David graduated from Southern Local High School as part of the Class of 1981, remembered fondly by classmates for his easygoing nature and friendly smile.

In 1983, David set out on a new chapter, moving to Florida where he embraced new opportunities and experiences. He later made his home in Summerville, South Carolina, before recently returning to the East Liverpool area to be closer to family. Over the years, he worked at Coachman Car Wash in Clearwater, Florida, where his strong work ethic, reliability, and good-natured personality earned the respect and friendship of many coworkers and customers alike.

David had a love for life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid bowler, a pastime that brought him joy and camaraderie with friends. He enjoyed fishing, finding peace in quiet moments by the water. At home, he found entertainment and friendly competition in playing the Wii, as well as the quiet satisfaction of completing jigsaw puzzles. These hobbies reflected his patience, sense of fun, and ability to appreciate the little things in life.

Above all, David cherished time spent with his family and friends. Whether gathered for a holiday, an afternoon meal, or just a quiet visit, those moments meant the most to him. His gentle spirit, generosity, and unwavering love for the people in his life created a lasting impact that will be remembered and treasured.

David’s passing marks the end of a life well-lived, but his memory will continue to inspire kindness, joy, and togetherness in those who knew him. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and reunited with loved ones who have gone before him.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by the family in the coming days, and all who knew David are encouraged to join in celebrating his life and legacy. In remembering him, may we honor the way he lived—with love, laughter, and a heart open to others.
