It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we share the news of the passing of Tim Gaskin Jr. (TJ), a beloved member of our church family whose life touched so many

This is not something we do for every loss, but TJ was not just a familiar face — he was a cornerstone of our ministry’s outreach, faithfully serving as our main cameraman for the church’s livestreams. Week after week, he could be found standing steadfastly in the center aisle, quietly and skillfully capturing our services so that those unable to attend in person could still worship alongside us.

For those who join us in person, TJ was often one of the first people you’d see as you made your way to your seat — a warm, constant presence in the flow of Sunday mornings. His service was not just a task; it was an act of devotion, a way of ensuring the message of God’s love reached beyond our walls.

TJ’s passing at just 21 years old is a heartbreaking loss for all who knew him. His time on this earth may have been short, but his life was filled with purpose. As a believer in our Lord and Savior, we take comfort in knowing that he has now been welcomed into the presence of God, ushered in by the very angels sent to bring him home. Though we cannot comprehend why his journey here ended so soon, we trust that God’s plan was fulfilled in his life — that his mission was completed, and his race well run.

We will miss him deeply on Sunday mornings — the quiet way he went about his work, his faithful commitment, and his gentle spirit. His absence will be felt not only by those who knew him personally but also by the countless lives he impacted through his service.

We ask you to please keep his parents, Tim and Monetha Gaskin, and his sister, Ticora, in your prayers during this time of immense grief. May the Lord surround them with His peace that passes all understanding and give them strength in the days ahead.

Rest well, TJ. Your work here is done, and you now await, along with the rest of us, the glorious return of our great King. Until then, we hold onto the hope of reunion and the promise of eternal life in Christ.
