It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Evadora Grace Jones, a radiant young woman whose light shone brightly in the lives of all who had the honor of knowing her. Evadora passed away on July 4, 2025, after courageously battling to recover from injuries sustained in a tragic automobile accident. Her sudden departure has left a deep void in the hearts of her family, friends, and community.

Born on March 18, 2007, Evadora brought joy and purpose into the world from the very beginning. With a name as unique and beautiful as her spirit, she embodied grace, strength, and compassion. Whether through her gentle smile, infectious laugh, or unwavering support for others, Evadora had a remarkable ability to make people feel seen, heard, and loved. She was a daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin, friend, and inspiration—roles she embraced with immense love and dedication.

Evadora was a vibrant soul with an adventurous heart and a curious mind. She had a deep appreciation for the arts, often expressing herself through music, painting, and poetry. Her voice—both in song and in words—carried a quiet power, resonating with those fortunate enough to hear it. She had a gift for writing heartfelt messages that lifted others, reminding them of their worth and strength during dark times. Her creativity was matched only by her empathy.

A student with big dreams and an even bigger heart, Evadora was admired by teachers and peers alike. Her commitment to excellence was evident in both her academic pursuits and her personal life. She had recently shared her hopes of studying psychology in college, wanting to help others heal from emotional pain—something she felt deeply passionate about.

Evadora’s love for her family was immeasurable. She was the kind of daughter who would leave notes of encouragement on the kitchen table, the kind of sister who cheered the loudest at every game and recital, and the kind of friend who always made time to listen. Her spirit of giving extended beyond her immediate circle, as she was known to volunteer at local shelters, organize food drives, and advocate for mental health awareness among youth.

In the face of unimaginable pain following the accident, Evadora demonstrated resilience, hope, and grace. She fought valiantly with the same quiet strength that defined her life. Her final days were spent surrounded by love—held close by her family and bathed in the prayers of a community that adored her.

Evadora Grace Jones leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and inspiration. Though her time with us was far too short, her impact will live on in the countless lives she touched. Her laughter, kindness, and strength will continue to echo in the hearts of those who carry her memory forward.

She is survived by her loving parents, Michael and Renee Jones; her beloved younger brother, Landon; her devoted grandparents, George and Evelyn Carter and Thomas and Lorraine Jones; her cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family; and a wide circle of friends who were more like family.

A celebration of Evadora’s life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at New Hope Church in her hometown, beginning at 11:00 a.m., with a memorial service to follow. All who knew and loved her are invited to attend and share in remembering the beautiful soul she was.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Evadora’s name to the Evadora Grace Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund, which will support aspiring students who wish to make a difference in the world through service, kindness, and healing.

Though her journey on earth has come to a close, Evadora’s spirit lives on—in the gentle wind, the warmth of a hug, the kindness of a stranger, and the enduring love of a community forever changed by her presence.

Rest in peace, sweet Evadora. You were light. You are love. You will never be forgotten.
