In Loving Memory of Jason Timm

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the tragic passing of Jason Timm, a beloved member of the Yakima, Washington community, who lost his life in a devastating motorcycle accident on the evening of July 11, 2025, along State Route 410. The news has sent shockwaves through family, friends, and neighbors who knew and loved Jason, leaving a deep void that words can scarcely fill.

Jason, who was just 37 years old, was more than just a name in a headline—he was a son, a brother, a friend, a mentor, and a passionate member of his community. Known for his warm heart, infectious laugh, and unwavering loyalty, Jason brought light into every room he entered. He had a unique ability to connect with others, offering support, wisdom, and encouragement when it was needed most.

Born and raised in Yakima, Jason was a true local through and through. He graduated from Eisenhower High School, where he first discovered his love for mechanics and motorcycles. That passion grew into a lifelong pursuit, as Jason became an expert in motorcycle repair and customization, eventually opening his own garage—Timm’s Performance Works—a local favorite among riding enthusiasts across Central Washington. His reputation for precision, integrity, and friendliness made him a trusted figure in the biking world.

Jason’s love for motorcycles wasn’t just professional—it was personal. Riding was more than a hobby; it was his therapy, his freedom, his way of exploring the world and clearing his mind. He was often seen riding through the winding mountain roads, always wearing a smile and a helmet, embracing the thrill and peace the road gave him. His favorite rides were those through Chinook Pass, where he felt closest to nature and most at peace.

On the evening of July 11, Jason was doing what he loved most—riding. According to early reports from the Washington State Patrol, he was traveling eastbound on SR-410 when the tragic accident occurred. Despite emergency responders arriving swiftly on scene, Jason succumbed to his injuries shortly after. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, but what remains clear is that an irreplaceable soul has been taken far too soon.

Jason’s passing leaves behind a heartbroken family, including his parents, Ron and Melissa Timm, his younger sister Kara, and his beloved dog, Diesel, who was his constant companion. He also leaves behind countless friends, fellow riders, customers, and community members who were touched by his kindness, generosity, and vibrant spirit.

In addition to his work and love of motorcycles, Jason was deeply involved in local charity events and often used his garage as a space to hold fundraisers for veterans, first responders, and youth in need. He had a strong belief in giving back to the community that raised him. He also mentored young people interested in mechanics, patiently teaching them skills and encouraging them to find purpose and pride in their work.

Jason lived life fully, with purpose and heart. He didn’t just chase dreams—he built them, rode them, and shared them with others. His legacy will live on in every engine he repaired, every ride he led, every smile he inspired.

A public memorial ride in honor of Jason is being organized for later this month, with details to follow. Friends, riders, and members of the community will gather to celebrate his life in the way he would have loved most—on two wheels, riding together in unity, remembrance, and love.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Stone Church in Yakima at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow. The family encourages attendees to wear casual attire and bring their fondest memories of Jason to share. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a scholarship fund being established in Jason’s name for aspiring mechanics and vocational students.

Though Jason Timm’s journey was cut far too short, his impact on the lives around him is immeasurable. May his memory be a blessing, his legacy an inspiration, and his spirit ride on in every road we travel.

Rest in peace, Jason. Ride free. 🕊️🏍️💔
