With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, the family and friends of Mona Dianna Walker, age 47, of Glasgow, Kentucky, announce her passing on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Mona’s passing leaves a space in the lives of many that will be difficult to fill, but her light and legacy will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Born in Barren County on December 9, 1977, Mona was the beloved daughter of Patricia Bush and the late William Walker. From a young age, Mona radiated a gentle strength, a nurturing heart, and a generous spirit that would come to define her life and all her relationships. She was deeply rooted in her faith and found great comfort and purpose through her walk with Christ. Mona was a faithful member of Columbia Avenue Church of Christ and also regularly attended South Green Church of Christ, where she was known for her warm smile, steadfast prayers, and willingness to serve.

Mona was a woman who carried herself with grace, humility, and resilience. Her life was marked by quiet kindness, thoughtful acts, and a deep love for her family and community. Whether it was helping a neighbor, supporting a friend through hard times, or simply lending a listening ear, Mona lived out her faith daily through her compassion and selflessness.

A devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Mona found joy in the little things — morning walks, good books, heartfelt conversations, and time spent with loved ones. She had a special way of making people feel seen, heard, and valued. Her laughter was genuine and contagious, her wisdom often grounding and profound, and her presence comforting in even the most uncertain moments.

Though her time on earth was tragically cut short, Mona’s life was rich in meaning, purpose, and love. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and quiet strength that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. Her passing is a profound loss to her family, church community, and many friends who will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her loving mother Patricia Bush, who was not only her mother but her closest confidante and strongest supporter. Mona is also survived by a host of extended family members, including aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends, all of whom cherished her deeply. She was preceded in death by her father, William Walker, whose memory she always carried close to her heart.

A celebration of Mona’s life will be held in the coming days, with arrangements entrusted to a local funeral home. Family and friends will gather not only to grieve her loss but to honor and remember the beauty she brought into the world.

In this time of mourning, the family asks for prayers, love, and support. They are comforted in knowing that Mona is now at peace, reunited with her father and embraced by the eternal love of her Heavenly Father.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:23
