In Loving Memory of Brianna Maxine Morris

The Carthage, Missouri community is heartbroken as we share the tragic passing of Brianna Maxine Morris, who left this world far too soon on August 8, 2025, at the tender age of 15. Born on September 3, 2009, in Joplin, Missouri, to Floyd Morris and Gine Moore, Brianna’s short life was marked by joy, determination, and a vibrant spirit that left an indelible mark on everyone she met.

Brianna was a bright and energetic student at Carthage High School, where her kindness and lively personality made her a friend to many. She carried herself with an authenticity that drew people in—someone who could light up a room with her smile, but also offer a listening ear when others needed comfort.

Her love for the rodeo was more than a pastime; it was a reflection of her fearless heart and deep connection to the traditions she cherished. As a talented barrel racer, Brianna found freedom and joy riding her beloved horse, Bullseye, the two sharing a bond built on trust, loyalty, and countless hours together in the arena. The rush of the competition, the dirt under her boots, and the applause from the stands were all a part of who she was—a true cowgirl in spirit and soul.

Faith played a central role in Brianna’s life. She was an active and beloved member of the youth group at Risen Ranch, where she grew in her relationship with God, found a second family in her peers, and discovered the joy of expressing herself through music. Her love for singing was a gift she shared generously, whether during church services or in quiet moments among friends.

Those who knew Brianna will forever remember her adventurous heart, her compassion for others, and her determination to live life to its fullest. She was a devoted daughter, a cherished friend, and an inspiration to many—showing that even in youth, one can leave behind a legacy of courage, faith, and love.

Though her time here was far too brief, Brianna’s impact will live on in the lives she touched. Her memory will continue to ride alongside us—wild, free, and full of grace—like the wind across an open field.

Rest easy, sweet Brianna. May your heavenly pastures be wide, your skies be clear, and may Bullseye be forever at your side. You will be loved and missed always.
