SHE’S JUST 14 — AND SHE’S MISSING

The community of Wichita, Kansas, is gripped by fear and concern as Xyleeia Korath-Brownlee, a 14-year-old girl, disappeared on August 1, 2025. Last seen in the 7000 block of E. 37th Street North, Xyleeia was wearing an orange shirt and black leggings. Since that day, her family and friends have been desperate for any news or clues to her whereabouts.

A recent photo circulating online shows Xyleeia with visible injuries, causing alarm and urgency across social media. However, her family has clarified that the image is from a February 2024 car accident, when the vehicle she was riding in was struck by a driver fleeing police. The injuries in the photo are not recent, but they highlight the challenges she has faced.

While it’s true that Xyleeia has run away before, this does not lessen the urgency of her disappearance. According to experts, one in seven runaway children end up victims of human trafficking—a chilling statistic that underscores how critical every moment is in efforts to find her safe.

Xyleeia has just turned 14—a young girl who should be safe, loved, and protected at home, not missing and vulnerable to unknown dangers out in the world alone.
