It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Bryston Lee Adkins, age 6, of Proctorville, Ohio, who left this world on Friday, August 1, 2025. Born on September 9, 2018, in Huntington, West Virginia, Bryston was the beloved son of Freddie and Brooklin Adkins.
Bryston was a bright and joyful first-grade student at Chesapeake Elementary School, where his curiosity and enthusiasm for learning brought smiles to teachers and classmates alike. Full of youthful energy and innocence, Bryston loved to explore the world around him and cherish every moment with his family and friends.
Though his time with us was far too short, Bryston’s spirit touched the hearts of all who knew him. He carried with him the love and legacy of his family, including the memories of his grandmothers, Mimi Bernice Adkins and Mimi Heather, who preceded him in death. Their love and presence in his life remain a cherished part of his story.
Bryston’s family, friends, and community now mourn the loss of a young life filled with promise and potential. In this difficult time, they hold tightly to the precious memories of his laughter, kindness, and the light he brought to those around him.
