A master mechanic and a beloved figure in Wichita’s automotive and motorcycle culture, Nick’s death has left a profound void in the hearts of those who knew him.

A Life Remembered

Born on April 9, 1991, Nick graduated from Derby High School in 2009. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. Nick’s passion for mechanics was evident in his work, where he earned a reputation for his skill and dedication. His contributions to the local automotive and motorcycle scenes were significant, and he was known for his generosity and willingness to help others.

Family and Loved Ones

Nick was preceded in death by his son, Preston Senecal; his sister, Elizabeth Caple; and his grandparents Wilfred and Rose Senecal and Nolan and Patricia (Gray) Basta. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Peter Senecal and Monique Sturgeon; his mother, Stacey Elizabeth Senecal; his siblings Jennifer (Brett) Schrag, Nicholas (Cassidy) Ice, and Cassandra (Trent) Smith; his children Dominic Moore and Nevaeh Senecal; his nephew Maverek Walker; his niece Dinah Schrag; numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends; and his companion, Dozer the dog.

Memorial Service

A memorial service to honor Nick’s life was held at 4:00 PM on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary in Wichita. The service provided an opportunity for family and friends to come together, share memories, and celebrate Nick’s life.
