Lorri Anne Maas age 64 of Penhook passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at her home

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lorri Maas, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, friend, and soul who brought light and warmth to all who had the honor of knowing her. Lorri’s presence in this world was nothing short of a blessing. Her journey through life was marked by compassion, strength, humor, and a deep and abiding love for others.

Lorri was more than just a person; she was a force of nature. Whether you were a lifelong friend or a stranger she had just met, she had the rare ability to make you feel seen, heard, and valued. Her laughter was infectious, her hugs unforgettable, and her advice always heartfelt and wise. She had an innate talent for nurturing and encouraging others, always reminding people of their worth and potential, even when they couldn’t see it for themselves.

Born with a compassionate heart and a generous spirit, Lorri devoted much of her life to caring for others—be it through her work, her volunteer efforts, or her constant support of family and friends. She had a strong moral compass and lived according to values of kindness, integrity, and selflessness. She loved deeply and freely, and those who were fortunate enough to be in her circle knew they had a loyal and steadfast ally in every season of life.

Family was at the center of Lorri’s world. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, always putting her loved ones above herself. Her home was a haven—a place filled with warmth, laughter, and the irresistible smell of her cooking, which she used to bring people together. Holidays with Lorri were magical, not because of decorations or gifts, but because she made everyone feel cherished and at home.

Lorri also had an undeniable zest for life. She found joy in the simple things—a walk in nature, music that stirred the soul, a good book, a spontaneous road trip, or time spent with those she loved most. Her positive energy lit up every room she entered, and she approached challenges with courage and grace, never letting life’s trials dim her spirit.

To say that Lorri will be missed is an understatement. Her absence leaves a void that words cannot fill. But her legacy—one of unconditional love, unwavering support, fierce loyalty, and boundless kindness—will live on in the hearts and lives of all she touched. She taught us how to love better, live fuller, and cherish every moment, and for that, we are eternally grateful.

As we mourn the loss of this remarkable woman, we also celebrate the beautiful life she lived. We carry her memory with us, in our laughter, in our acts of kindness, in our strength during hard times, and in our ability to love with open hearts.

Rest in peace, Lorri Maas. You may be gone from our sight, but you will never be gone from our hearts. Thank you for everything you were and everything you gave. You will be loved forever and missed always.
