In Loving Memory of Reinhold Nicolae Lancranjan
January 26, 2001 – July 30, 2025
Lakeland, Florida
It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Reinhold Nicolae Lancranjan, affectionately known as Reiny, who left this world far too soon on July 30, 2025, at the young age of 24, in Tampa, Florida.
Reiny was born on January 26, 2001, in Lakeland, Florida, and from the moment he arrived, he brought light, laughter, and a unique vibrance into the lives of those around him. He was the beloved son of Nicolae and Mariana Lancranjan, and a cherished brother to Adelina Lancranjan. To his family, he was the beating heart — brilliant, inquisitive, deeply compassionate, and undeniably himself.
A gifted soul, Reiny possessed a mind well beyond his years. From a young age, he exhibited a sharp intellect and an insatiable curiosity about the world. Whether it was tinkering with electronics, engaging in long philosophical debates, or helping others solve complex problems, Reiny stood out as someone who genuinely loved to learn and share knowledge. He attended local schools in Polk County and later pursued higher education in computer science and technology, fields in which he both excelled and inspired others.
But it was not only his intelligence that people remembered — it was how he made them feel. Reiny had a sense of humor that could disarm the most guarded of hearts. He was witty, quick, and effortlessly funny, always ready with a joke or a clever one-liner that would have a whole room laughing. His laugh was infectious, his energy magnetic, and his empathy unwavering.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Reiny will remember how deeply he cared about others. He was the type of person who would go out of his way to help a friend, encourage a stranger, or support someone who felt unseen. He carried a quiet strength — one that was built on kindness, resilience, and an honest desire to make the world a better place in whatever way he could.
Reiny had a deep love for music, often spending hours curating playlists or experimenting with sounds on his guitar. He was a lover of both art and science, a rare combination that gave him the ability to see beauty in logic and meaning in creativity. He also had a passion for gaming, coding, and all things tech, often becoming the unofficial tech support for his circle of family and friends.
Above all, Reiny’s greatest joy was spending time with the people he loved. Whether it was late-night conversations with his sister, deep talks with his parents, gaming sessions with friends, or quiet moments of reflection, Reiny had a way of making time spent with him feel significant. He was present, genuine, and unforgettable.
The sudden loss of Reiny has left an unimaginable void in the hearts of many. The Lancranjan family, along with extended relatives, close friends, classmates, mentors, and colleagues, are devastated by his passing and will continue to honor his memory by living with the same compassion and light that he so freely gave to others.
He is survived by his loving parents Nicolae and Mariana, his sister Adelina, his grandmother Maria, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who cherished him dearly.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Victory Church in Lakeland, where family and friends are invited to gather, remember, and reflect on the beautiful legacy Reiny leaves behind. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to organizations that support youth mental health and technology education — two causes close to Reiny’s heart.
Though our hearts are broken, we find solace in knowing that Reiny’s spirit lives on in every life he touched. He taught us how to be curious, how to laugh deeply, and how to love without reservation. His time with us, though brief, was a gift beyond measure.
Rest in peace, Reiny. You are deeply missed, forever loved, and eternally remembered.
