Today, with heavy hearts, we share the heartbreaking news that our beloved patriarch, Dan DeBlanc, has passed away. His loss leaves a void that words can scarcely express—a man whose presence was larger than life, whose wisdom was a guiding light, and whose dedication to his family, friends, and community touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Dan was so much more than just a leader; he was the very heart and soul of our Southside family. A man of strength, integrity, and boundless generosity, Dan poured himself into everything he did—from his work to his relationships, to the pride he took in serving and uplifting those around him. For many of us, Dan was a mentor, a friend, and a father figure. His deep laugh, steady voice, and unwavering support made us feel safe, valued, and inspired. He was someone you could count on—always showing up, always leading by example, and always offering a helping hand without needing to be asked.

In honor of Dan’s passing, we will be closed today, Wednesday the 30th, so that our team, family, and community can take the time to reflect, grieve, and celebrate the life of a man who gave so much to all of us. We will reopen on Thursday for regular business hours, but we do so with a profound sense of loss. It will take time to heal, but we will carry Dan’s spirit with us in all that we do moving forward. He helped build something lasting—not just a business, but a family bound by loyalty, compassion, and respect.

To our Southside friends, families, and patrons, we ask that you keep Dan, his loved ones, and our entire team in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness, support, and understanding mean more than we can ever say.

Dan lived his life with honor and purpose. He was proud of his military service, proud of his roots, and proud of the people who surrounded him. “Oorah,” he would say, with that glint in his eye that said he was always ready to stand tall and fight for what mattered. Today, we say it back to him—Oorah, Dan. You gave us courage, strength, and love. You will be missed by so many, and your legacy will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace, Dan DeBlanc. Thank you for everything
