Thomas L. Triplett, 87, of Newcomerstown, passed away on Tuesday July 29, 2025, at his home. He was born October 7, 1937 in Belmont County to the late Melvin Lewis Triplett and Grace (Butler) Triplett. Tom started out working at Goshen Dairy, and then went on to work for General Tire where he retired from after 32 years

Thomas L. Triplett, 87, of Newcomerstown, passed away on Tuesday July 29, 2025, at his home. He was born October 7, 1937 in Belmont County to the late Melvin Lewis Triplett and Grace (Butler) Triplett.
Tom started out working at Goshen Dairy, and then went on to work for General Tire where he retired from after 32 years. He also drove school bus for several years and had a roofing and spouting business. He was a very hard worker. Tom was a member of the Elks BPO Lodge 1555, American Legion Post 431, and the Moose Lodge 1337, all of Newcomerstown. He coached baseball when his kids were young and was very involved in their sports as well as the band. He rode his bicycle from Cedar Point to Cy Young Park to raise money for the band and sports teams. He also was in the Hall of Fame Parade and pulled a queen. He loved to fish and deer hunt and was very active in farming. He enjoyed spending time on his back porch, which was his safe haven. He volunteered on several local Fire Departments. He would lend a helping hand to anyone in need, and was always doing things for others. He did everything for his kids.
Tom is survived by his children, Ricky Triplett (companion Angie Guthrie) of West Lafayette, Cheryl (Randy) Bartholow of Newcomerstown, Robert Triplett (companion Marilyn Roe) of Newcomerstown, Jerry (Mary) Triplett of Pickerington; grandchildren, Steve Butler, Marteina Triplett, and Brandon (Gaby) Bartholow; great-grandchildren, Blair, Drake, and Harper Butler, Hailie and Carter Triplett, Amia and Pheonix Celeschi; great-great-grandchildren, Feyre Kron and Callan Bartholow.
Tom was preceded in death by his daughter Cindy Sue Belt; granddaughter, Tiffani Celeschi; his siblings, Armond Triplett, Paul (Edith) Triplett, Dorothy Rine, Fredrick, Jerry, Ernie, and Catherine Triplett.
A funeral service for Tom will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 7:00 pm at the Addy Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday from 12 to 2 pm and 5 to 7 pm at the Addy Funeral Home.
