UPDATE 4 – Police Investigating Incident at Charles Daley Park in Lincoln.
Through the ongoing efforts of detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) Homicide Unit, 50-year-old Davy Rocchetti is now wanted for second degree murder in connection with the death of 82-year-old Larry Pearce.
Detectives are in the process of obtaining a Canada-wide warrant for Mr. Rocchetti’s arrest.
In addition to this homicide-related charge, Mr. Rocchetti is currently wanted on outstanding warrants for unrelated matters, including mischief under $5,000, theft under $5,000, three counts of operation while prohibited, and failing to comply with probation.
Investigators are urging anyone with information regarding Mr. Rocchetti’s whereabouts to contact police immediately. If seen, do not approach him—call 911.
Investigators believe that as recently as Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at approximately 10:00 am, Mr. Rocchetti is still operating the victim’s stolen 2012 grey Honda CRV. At that time, Mr. Rocchetti was in the area of the 1900 block of Dundas St. W., in Mississauga. Police have confirmed that he continues to also be in the company of his dog, described as a Pitbull-style breed with white fur and black and brown markings that include a dark spot over the dogs left eye.
Investigators would like to update the following details about the outstanding Honda CRV. The vehicle no longer had a front licence plate displayed and the rear licence plate which originally bore Ontario Marker ‘24FS30’ may also have been changed.
Further, the vehicle is distinctive, with duct tape on the driver’s side front bumper and duct tape covering the entirety of the rear back window.
