A disturbance in the Gulf is expected to move inland Friday, bringing heavy rain and thunderstorms to South Texas through Sunday morning. Any storms that develop may produce high rainfall rates, quickly overwhelming streets, drains, and low-lying areas.
What to Expect: • Rainfall totals could exceed 1–3 inches per hour in spots
• Street flooding and rapid water rise in flood-prone areas
• Flash Flood Warnings possible
Areas under risk: Corpus Christi, Rockport, Port Lavaca, Victoria, Refugio, and coastal communities.
TIMING: Friday through Sunday morning. THREAT LEVEL: Marginal Risk (5% chance or higher for flash flooding)
