BREAKING: Texas Man Arrested for Double Homicide in West Melbourne

Last night, a tragic domestic incident in West Melbourne ended in violence and loss. Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 22-year-old Jeremyah Campbell of Texas for the murder of his grandparents, George and Mary White.

The shooting took place near Washington Street and Milwaukee Avenue and prompted a massive law enforcement response. Investigators say George White and a 25-year-old neighbor were shot at the neighbor’s residence, while Mary White was shot inside her own home. Thankfully, the neighbor survived with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.

Deputies and crime scene investigators have worked tirelessly overnight to process this heartbreaking scene. Campbell now faces:

• 2 counts of 2nd Degree Murder

• 1 count of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder

• Shooting Into an Occupied Residence

Judge Musselman has ordered no bond, and Campbell has been booked into the Brevard County Jail.
