Asheville, NC – July 22, 2025:
The Asheville Police Department is urgently seeking the community’s assistance in locating 14-year-old Kelsey Billings, who was reported missing after she was last seen in the early morning hours of July 18th, around 1:30 a.m., at a relative’s residence located on Westmore Drive.

Kelsey is described as a white female, standing approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing around 100 pounds. She has red hair dyed black, striking blue eyes, pierced ears, and a nose ring. When she was last seen, Kelsey was wearing a pink tube top, grey sweatpants, and pink low-top Converse sneakers. Since that time, there has been no confirmed contact with her, and her whereabouts remain unknown.

The Asheville Police Department and Kelsey’s family are increasingly concerned for her safety and well-being. The fact that she has not returned home or communicated with loved ones has raised alarm, prompting authorities to classify her as a missing juvenile in need of immediate attention.

According to APD officials, investigators are working around the clock to track down leads and are canvassing neighborhoods, checking surveillance footage, and interviewing anyone who may have seen or heard from Kelsey in recent days. Detectives emphasize that any information, no matter how minor it may seem, could be vital in helping bring Kelsey home safely.

Kelsey’s family has expressed deep anguish over her disappearance, describing her as a bright, creative teen who enjoys drawing, listening to music, and spending time with friends. “We just want to know that she’s safe,” said a family member. “Kelsey, if you see this, please know you’re not in trouble—we just want you back home with us.
