Upon arrival, officers found Shaniqua with critical injuries sustained during a violent assault. Despite emergency medical efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have since arrested 32-year-old Jarve Toms-Dixon, who has been charged with first-degree murder in connection to her death.
