In Loving Memory of Michelle Cure
Stratton, Colorado — July 14, 2025

With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, the community of Stratton, Colorado mourns the passing of Michelle Cure, a beloved daughter, sister, friend, and neighbor who left this world far too soon on July 14, 2025, at the age of 38. Michelle’s sudden departure has cast a shadow over those who knew and loved her, but her vibrant spirit and the love she so freely gave will forever shine brightly in the memories of those she touched.

Michelle was born and raised in Stratton, a small but close-knit community that shaped her gentle heart and resilient soul. From an early age, Michelle exhibited a deep sense of compassion, always reaching out to help others with a smile that could light up even the darkest room. Whether it was volunteering at local events, supporting youth programs, or simply being the person friends turned to in times of need, Michelle carried an unshakeable belief in kindness and humanity.

She graduated from Stratton High School and went on to pursue a career in healthcare administration, a field where her empathy and organizational brilliance came together seamlessly. Her work wasn’t just a job — it was a calling. Michelle devoted herself to making sure that the people she served were treated with dignity, respect, and warmth, and she took immense pride in her ability to advocate for patients and their families.

Outside of her professional life, Michelle was a woman of many passions. She loved gardening, often seen tending to her flowers with a quiet joy that came from connecting with nature. She found peace in music, laughter in good books, and strength in her faith. Michelle was known for her homemade meals, always prepared with love and shared with friends and neighbors alike. She had a knack for bringing people together, whether it was for Sunday dinners, community fundraisers, or casual porch conversations that turned into heart-to-heart talks.

Her love for her family was unwavering. Michelle was a devoted daughter, a protective and loving sister, and a doting aunt who took great pride in the lives of her nieces and nephews. She had an uncanny ability to remember birthdays, special moments, and always made time to call, check in, or send a heartfelt card — small gestures that meant the world to those who received them.

Though she left us far too soon, Michelle leaves behind a legacy of warmth, grace, and selflessness. She is survived by her loving parents, her siblings, extended family members, lifelong friends, and a community that will forever carry her memory forward. The pain of her absence is profound, but so is the gratitude for having known her.

A celebration of Michelle Cure’s life will be held at the Stratton Community Church on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with a gathering to follow at the community hall — a place where her laughter once echoed and her presence was always felt. All who knew and loved Michelle are welcome to attend, share memories, and honor the beautiful life she lived.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to local charities supporting mental health awareness and community outreach — causes close to Michelle’s heart.

Michelle Cure’s time on this earth may have been brief, but her impact was immeasurable. She taught those around her how to love fiercely, live gently, and never take a single day for granted. Though she is gone, her spirit will forever be woven into the fabric of Stratton — a place she called home, and a community that now carries her legacy with love and remembrance.
