Our soccer family is heartbroken by the tragic and devastating loss of an incredible man, a devoted father, and a selfless hero—Eric Cespedes. Eric wasn’t just a coach to our children—he was a mentor, a role model, and a constant source of encouragement and strength. He believed in every child he coached, saw their potential even when they couldn’t see it themselves, and gave his time, energy, and heart to help them grow not just as athletes, but as people.

Eric died as he lived—courageously and with deep love. In an act of pure bravery, he lost his life while saving his beloved children. It is an unimaginable tragedy, yet in his final moments, Eric showed the depth of his character, putting the safety and lives of his children above his own. He died a true hero.

The pain of his loss reverberates far beyond the soccer field. Eric touched so many lives—parents, fellow coaches, friends, and especially the young athletes who looked up to him. His presence at every practice, his cheers from the sidelines, his calm encouragement during tough moments, and his infectious smile made him a pillar of our community. His absence leaves a hole that cannot be filled.

Our hearts are with Sandy and their children during this unthinkable time. While there are no words that can ease their grief, and no actions that can bring Eric back, we hope to rally around them with the love and support they so deeply deserve. In his honor, and to help ease the financial burden this tragedy has brought upon his family, we are dedicating this week—July 14th through July 18th—to the Cespedes family.

All proceeds from this week will be donated directly to support Sandy and the children as they navigate the painful road ahead. Whether it’s a refill, a donation, or a kind word of support, every gesture matters. Eric gave so much to us—now it’s our turn to give back.
